WHITE ROSE MAINTAINS THE GOLD STANDARD FOR FLORAL EXCELLENCE
1st October 2011White Rose Shopping Centre has continued to achieve the gold standard by winning a top Yorkshire in Bloom award.
The centre, which has harvested local, regional and national In Bloom awards in recent years, won gold in the 2011 category for shopping centres and retail parks across the county and earned the praise of judges, who said: “The White Rose Shopping Centre is set in high quality landscape and sets the standard in terms of maintenance and care. The cleanliness of the outside is matched by the vibrant mix of shops and eating places.”
As well as receiving plaudits for its horticultural excellence, White Rose was congratulated for its environmentally-aware operation, with judges commenting:
“We were impressed by the waste reduction work and the recycling efforts of the centre.”
Centre Director Peter Cook, said: “Full credit goes to the our grounds maintenance contractor Grace Landscapes, whose painstaking attention to detail has enabled us to win numerous awards, while ensuring that the centre is a very attractive place for the millions of shoppers who come throughout the year and the people who work here.”
