Remember, remember, the fifth of November!
Guy Fawkes Night arrives on 5th November, lighting up the skies and offering a chance to get together with family and friends. Whether you're planning a trip to a local fireworks display, putting together a feast or looking for ways to keep the celebrations going, you'll find plenty at White Rose.
Make a night of it
Why not turn Bonfire Night into a proper night out?
Warm up with dinner at one of our restaurants, then settle in at Cineworld for one of November’s big-screen releases, including The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, Focker In-Law and Narnia.
Fancy getting a little closer to the Gunpowder Plot? Gather your most quick-thinking friends and put your problem-solving skills to the test at The Escapologist. Book The Gunpowder Plot room where you’ll be thrown into a prison cell, accused of treason and branded a conspirator in a plot to blow the Houses of Parliament sky-high.
Stock up on Bonfire Night treats
No Bonfire Night get-together is complete without something delicious to share. Pop into M&S and fill your basket with marshmallows to toast over the fire, toffee apples to sink your teeth into, and those much-needed picky bits.
And when the cold starts to bite, warm your hands around a luxurious hot chocolate from Hotel Chocolat!
Wrap up warm
Need an excuse to buy another oversized jumper or trench coat? Bonfire Night might be it. Wrap up warm with stylish layers and accessories from River Island, New Look and Primark.
Bringing the little ones along for the show? A warm coat from Next and wellies from Schuh Kids are essentials. Add plenty of layers to keep them cosy while they wait for the fireworks to begin.
Find a fireworks display near you
Will you be taking the family to a fireworks display in Leeds this year? The kids will be so excited to be allowed to stay up late! Whether you’re going to an organised display or just lighting sparklers in your own back garden (safely), put a date in the diary and make Bonfire Night memories.
