Visit our Outdoor Play Area in The Village

Our outdoor play area is better than ever, with new features and even more space for the little ones to enjoy.

The play area has been designed to be accessible for a variety of ages and abilities, and features a large canopy for rain-or-shine play.

Our play area includes:

• A ‘theatre and music’ play house with xylophone and drum panels, which encourages explorative play and social cooperation while climbable areas stimulate motor skills like cross-body coordination.
• A farmyard-inspired tractor slide, which spurs dramatic play with its recognisable theming, building communication, while its tunnel and slide develop cross-coordination and balance skills.
• A wobble bridge, inviting children to nurture their confidence and balance with suspended horizontal logs.
• Balance bumps, an activity trails which trains gross motor skills and contributes to decision-making.
• And a hopscotch area to encourage competitiveness and general social play.

 

The play area and The Village are entirely smoke-free areas as part of Leeds City Council’s Clean Air Leeds ambition.
