White Rose continues to offer blue badge bays for guests in each of our car parks.

Disabled toilets and changing places facility

The disabled toilets and changing places facility of toilets are open as normal, including to those whose disabilities are not clearly visible. Additional cleaning measures are in place by our trained Cleaning Operatives.

Stoma facilities

Four of our disabled toilets have been updated to include the correct Stoma Facilities (two are located upstairs near New Look, one is in the Food Court, and one is located near M&S). Each toilet now includes wall hooks, a colostomy bag shelf, toilet door stickers, a wall mirror and the correct disposal facilities.

Shopmobility

White Rose offers manual wheelchair hire for free of charge from our Shopmobility unit, operated by the William Merritt Centre. The unit is located above our Customer Services Desk on the South Mall, near the South East entrance doors (that lead to Car Parks 5 and 6).

Lifts

Lift access has been prioritised for those in wheelchairs and families with pushchairs.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard

The Hidden Disabilties Sunflower is a discreet way for children and adults with hidden disabilities to show that they need a little more time, especially during this time when more queues are possible around the centre. White Rose supports this scheme and has lanyards available for free from the Guest Services desk.

Sensory toys

Many people on the autism spectrum have difficulty processing everyday sensory information, and we recognise that visiting a shopping centre can present a difficult environment to some. We have therefore introduced our new sensory toys for those who have forgotten their own toys or need some time out. These can be found at our Guest Services located near Clarks in the central area.
