The role
Joe Browns is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Supervisor to join its friendly team at White Rose Shopping Centre on a Permanent Full-Time contract.
As a Supervisor, you'll support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in leading the team, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving store performance. You'll be a role model for the Joe Browns brand and values, helping to create a positive, high-energy environment where both customers and colleagues can thrive.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend much of your time on the shop floor, coaching colleagues, supporting customers and ensuring the store looks its absolute best.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are ever the same (just how we like it). You'll be:
- Supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in the day-to-day running of the store
- Leading the team confidently in the absence of senior management
- Delivering a remarkable customer experience that drives sales and loyalty
- Inspiring, motivating and coaching team members to achieve their full potential
- Providing regular observation-based feedback and supporting colleague development
- Supporting the achievement of store KPIs and commercial objectives
- Driving customer data capture and customer engagement initiatives
- Ensuring exceptional visual merchandising and housekeeping standards
- Monitoring customer flow and reacting effectively to maximise sales opportunities
- Supporting with cash handling and daily operational processes
- Managing deliveries, stock movement and stock control procedures
- Minimising stock loss and identifying potential risks
- Ensuring company policies, procedures and compliance requirements are followed at all times
- Supporting seasonal launches, promotional events, stock takes and sale preparations
Retail is hands-on, fast-paced and full of variety. As part of the role, you'll be comfortable with:
- Being active on the shop floor throughout your shift
- Supporting and communicating with customers and colleagues
- Using tills and digital systems confidently
- Handling stock, including lifting and carrying boxes
- Moving stock around the store and stockroom
- Using ladders and kick stools safely
- Preparing and merchandising stock
- Supporting deliveries and stock takes
- Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment
- Working a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays and busy seasonal periods.
Please note candidates must also be fully flexible and able to do overtime as and when needed, must have at least 1 years’ experience of working in retail and to KPI’S such as ATV and UPT, and must be over 18 due to late night working.
